1974. I'm 9 years old in this photo. My father had recently given me a GAF camera that I carried everywhere, taking pictures of whatever caught my eye. Here, in a nearly empty room, I passed by a dresser with a large mirror and was inspired to balance the camera on my head and take my photo. The crib in the background was purely unintentional.
