Most of us spend most of our waking lives working: in offices, restaurants, factories, stores or farms. Ideally, "what we do" reflects our personal idiosyncratic hopes, dreams, ambitions, goals and values — and of course, we want what we do to reflect well on us. For better or worse, we are judged by what we do at work and often judge ourselves in just the same way. We are seen, and come to see ourselves, as we are reflected in our work.
