adventures in reflective surfaces
Biological clock
I'm 36, and everybody around me has kids. I'm really not sure I want to join them, so once in a while I test my motherly side by taking care of my two nephews (6 and 4) for a solid 24 hours.
I recently tried something new with them: I took them to a big retro style dinner in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, this usually quiet place was packed and the kids were going crazy waiting for their hot dogs. As I watched them jump up and down on their seat and heard them complain over and over again about how bored they were, I caught my own tired reflection in the mirror behind them.
I'm really not sure about this motherhood thing.
