adventures in reflective surfaces
Outside, Looking In
I'm a 'jeans and t-shirt' kinda guy. That wasn't always the case. Back when I was a body builder, I wore boutique, exclusive men's wear that emphasized my physique at the time. I was also fastidious about getting my hair cut a particular way every two weeks without fail. I managed to create a 'look' that turned a lot of heads and brought me a lot of healthy and unhealthy attention. My self esteem and self image were tied into the exterior packaging. It was also a lot of work to keep it up. I became someone I wasn't. I became this 'hot' thing that others wanted and needed me to be. But it wasn't me. I had a lot of people that were available for sex but when friday night came around and i wanted to go to a movie or dinner, there wasn't a soul available. When I decided to change my life, I had to let go of a lot of the packaging and get back to the basics. The result is what you see here. Basic.
