adventures in reflective surfaces
La Fontanitera 1
This picture was taken in my garden, situated in the country, about seven kilometres from Oviedo, where I live. I go there very often, to relax while I dig the land or prune the bushes- just a couple of the many tasks that are performed when taking care of a garden. This picture will be the first in a series that I will be sending. You can't usually find mirrors in a garden -apart from garden globes, already present as one of the THEMES in The Project. So I had to take one off a wall at home, and take it into the garden, placing it where I considered the reflection best suited my intentions. In this first picture I am not wearing my working clothes; I was just "visiting", although I am wering some wooden shoes or clogs typical in this part of the country. They keep your feet really warm and are called "madreñas".The yellow leaves belong to a "magnolia soulangiana", the leaves about to fall.Reflected in the mirror, a "liquidambar", already naked.
