Mirror in my room at the YMCA -- first day of the Buddhism in America conference. A vacation/retreat that couldn't have come too soon. It was amazing to be in a place of such peace and beauty, listening to the live words of teachers I previously only knew from books. The two months before that weekend were spent in a work-drenched haze of 80-hour weeks and total sleep deprivation -- after that, even the hard work of meditation was relaxing.
