Our studio conveniently has direct access to an outdoor patio. Our patio isequipped with a barbeque, some kilns and of course ourbaseball/softball/Frisbees and assorted time wasting devices. One day wewere outside playing home run derby with our wiffle-bat and balls. I hit aline drive right into the open doors to the still hot kiln. The plasticball instantly caught flame, and disintegrated before our eyes. Before Icould run and get my camera, the ball had completely vanished and all wasleft was a pile of carbon, and a bad smell. The ceramics people really didnt like us from then on. I dont know if I would blame them.
