adventures in reflective surfaces
Nepalese tikhas
When I read about The Mirror Project, I thought of this picture - taken spontaneously and with no artistic ambition whatsoever. It just reminds me of a very beautiful place on earth. It is taken on a sunny september afternoon in a small rooftop teahouse in Kathmandu. My travelling companion got her bright red thika (a coloured marking in the forhead, symbolizing a blessing)in a nearby temple, and is attempting to remove it, whereas I rather like mine (a street vendor made it), and kept it all day. The next day we flew up to Lukla, for some serious mountain trekking.
