adventures in reflective surfaces
Last March, I was told to look for another job. My last day of work was at the end of May. Then I spent two months of unemployment, re-evaluating my life and my place in the world, and being overwhelmed by everything. One day, in an effort to take advantage of the fact that I didn't have to be anywhere during the long gorgeous summer days (instead of sitting around at home feeling sorry for myself), my boyfriend and I drove from Chicago to the Indiana Dunes, and spent the day there. I dug in the sand until I reached water. Then I leaned over and took a picture.
