I'm completely stripping all the walls and floors in the building I grew up in -- a one-room former schoolhouse built in 1910 and used until 1947. My family lived in from 1955 to 1994. Now it's a summer cottage. Plan on sanding and varathaning the maple floor, and stripping and varnishing the hardwood wainscotting. And adding a sleeping loft at one end. A lotta work, but should be a neat place when finished.
