We had a full day and night of heavy snowfall right before I left campus for winter break. The light outside the window in the lounge highlighted the snowflakes in just the right way.

When I was a little kid, my brothers and I used to lay down on the window seat with our heads back against the window, looking up into the falling snow. We'd pretend it was a moving starfield like when the Millennium Falcon makes the jump to hyperspace. Sometimes, when no one's around, I still do that.
