adventures in reflective surfaces
Between La Bocca and Cannes, France
TGV
I recently took a trip up to Draguignan on the train, usually I sit on the coast side but this time the train was a TGV rather than the TER (regional service) and which requires booking so I was assigned a seat on the opposite side. I was afforded magnificent views of the erroded red sculptures that are the Massif de l'Esterel, and as spring is just starting to come into evidence the reds contrasted vividly with the greens of scattered pine trees and the occasional burst of yellow Mimosa.
This shot was taken on the return journey - on a TGV that was 40 minutes late (a veritable rarity) and wasn't the one I was booked on either (that was twenty minutes late[r]). Given I wasn't supposed to be on this train I just jumped into the first empty looking carriage which transpired to be the smoking one, but was luckily almost empty.
