Thurs. March 11 after 11pm on the first leg of the journey to Austin for SXSW 2004 - sitting next to the window at Gate 45 waiting for the "red eye" plane to Chicago to be cleaned and loaded. After all the baggage was loaded into the cargo area over 10 boxes labeled "Live Fish" and 3 boxes of "Fresh California Flowers" trundled up the conveyor belt. I was intrigued... Live Fish? Was there water in the square boxes or were the fish on ice? For pet stores or sushi restaurants?
