adventures in reflective surfaces
Pseudo~Wide-Angle Me!
Convex mirrors provide that distortion that you get with a super-wide angle or fish-eye lens....when you can't afford a lens like this, you can cheat and go to your nearest convex mirror! Of course you end up in shot too using this method, but hey, that's ok, you can submit the resultant image to the mirror project! This mirror is placed so as to facilitate the prevention of collisions (hopefully) at a (usually busy) intersection of corridors, leading to the Operating Suites, the Medical Imaging rooms (CT, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine) and the Emergency Department. You can see one of the elevators, and directly behind me the Emergency department. I snapped this in a strangely quiet spell one afternoon last year...does that reflection make me look fat?
