adventures in reflective surfaces
The Weather Project
London's Tate Modern gallery had been running a major exhibit called The Weather Project. This involved a huge semicircle of translucent material backlit with powerful sodium lights. To make the half look like a complete whole and thus represent the sun, the entire roof of the gallery was mirrored. This had the unexpected effect of causing visitors to like on their backs and stare at themselves reflected in the mirrors more that 100ft above.
The sodium light made everything look yellow and as that was the only colour frequency in the darkened hall there is no way to correct the white balance in this photo.
Which of the reflected people is me? See if you can work it out.
