I took this photo about eight months after a terrible break-up with my boyfriend of 14 years. Two months after we bought this fabulous condo, he cheated and then left. He still paid for the mortgage and over the year we painted the rooms together to prepare it for sale. I loved the color green in this room, even though it had been the place he had cheated on me with her. (We painted it after.) My hair is super-short, not really the style I wanted, but one of those post-break up things you do. I spent $90 on the haircut, choosing the best salon in Boston. I was hot and sweaty in the picture and I propped the camera on a shelf. I have a smirk on my face, but I don't know why. I am over him now.
