adventures in reflective surfaces
Who can resist adorable puppies and wee kitties? Not I!
I was on my way to the optometrist (no mirror shot of my new & nerdy specs yet), walking down Lexington Avenue, near Bloomingdale's. This is unusual for a number of reasons -- I rarely go to the East Side, I'd normally take a cab, especially in the fall when I start to hibernate and would've missed all the good stuff along the way.
I've reacted to the September 11 attacks on my beloved city in a variety of ways, but the two most pronounced have been taking advantage of what the city has to offer and going ga-ga for pets and small children. I notice both much more these days and take the time to observe and play with them whenever I can. These are the small things that give me hope.
