There's a shop by the bus stop next to the Indian grocer's, which puts this silvery sheet up behind their windows when they're closed. I've always wondered why. Perhaps it's to stop people seeing what's there, so they're less tempted to break in? I don't know if it works; by the look of it someone tried to break in anyway.

Having failed in this, though, it did do a very nice job of making the smash patterns look extra-pretty.
