As my friend tried to impress me by going out of his way to be polite to a sneaky street hustler "from Alabama" begging for money "for BART," I shot photos of the convenience store. I also shot the following: "Dude, he's broker than you are." The erstwhile Southerner actually looked sad. Unscarred.
I didn't realize my reflection was in this photo of a beer sign until later.
