I took this picture in my bathroom this morning. I had just returned from a 20 mile bike ride. It's pitch dark and cold when I leave the house at 5:30 AM and just barely light when I return. But the NiteRider Flight HID light mounted on my helmet turns night into day, and layers of thermal gear help keep me warm. The best thing about biking in the pre-dawn darkness is there are virtually no cars on the road. For that pleasure I will sacrifice the warmth of the sun and a little sleep.
