this is a picture of me in a plastic rainforest inside a cave on the top of a mountain. to get there my friends and i rode a bus three hours from beijing, hired a car, and drove another 20km to the mountains where we zigzagged our way up a sheer cliff via six escalators encased within a giant green dragon. at the top was the entrance to this long cave housing possibly the worlds largest display of plastic flora and fauna. somewhere between the boreal and tropical forest i began to wonder why is this here? why am i here? did platos cave have plastic pandas?
