adventures in reflective surfaces
Café Souvenir, Rue Bernard, Outremont
My friend Judith and I had stopped into this Cafe after seeing the Piranèse and Goya exhibit at the Musée des Beaux Arts. The Piranèse work consisted of 18th-century etchings of the antiquities of Rome. I've always been attracted to the geometry of architecture, so when I saw this reflection in the bathroom I felt like I was in a perspective drawing of the sort that Piranèse would have done.
