adventures in reflective surfaces
knife shop
This photo was taken on a diving holiday in the Philippines. We were racing along the road to Anilou for my check-out dives, and I kept seeing such amazing sights but my dive instructor was impatient with my tourist-ways and we couldn't pull over for photos. So I started taking photos out of the car and thats how this shot happened.I know I am on holidays even from the tiny part of me I can see in this photo, tanned and wearing a singlet. There are lots of curiosities on the side of the road in the Philippines and this particular photo is of a knife shop with some of the deadliest looking knives. I think it was the author Neal Stephenson who observed that Filipinos are some of the friendliest, most cheerful people around, which is just as well because they are also heavily armed.
