My car died suddenly in May 2001, and while I loved the PT Cruiser, it was very early in production and most dealers had waiting lists for them. A local dealer, however, had one they could sell on the spot ... the person who ordered the car received a job transfer to the west coast and had to cancel his order two days before I visited the dealer. Whether it was luck, fortune or fate, the timing was perfect to buy a car I loved at a time when they weren't readily available to buy "off the lot." A year after this photo, it still has a nice reflective shine.
