adventures in reflective surfaces
For sale
This small shop, just around the corner of where I live, had been for sale for a long time.
Then one day, some months ago, an elderly Indian couple appeared.
They spent a weekend covering up the walls with mirrors and then hid the mirrors behind racks and shelves which they filled up with tins, bottles, boxes and groceries.
I started buying my hot pepper sauces there. They had great hot pepper sauces, though they mainly seemed to deal in low priced intercontinental telephone calls.
Until a monday some weeks ago.
Over the weekend, and apparently in a hurry, they had emptied the place. A few days later a 'A vendre' (for sale) sign was put up.
No more hot pepper sauces.
They left all of them mirrors behind, though.
