I took this picture coming home after visiting my daughter at UCSC.It's a 6-hour car ride, most of it road, road and more road, punctuated by mountains, grapevines and lots of sky.

Since I don't do highways, my husband has the unenviable position of doing the whole drive. I keep him awake by giving him granola bars and talking and I amuse myself by taking pictures.

This was taken near Atascadero, California, about half-way home. Although I was looking forward to getting home, I always miss my daughter more after we've seen her.
