I took this photo on my first trip to Europe in March of 1996. I was in a class called "The City of Paris," which I only took for the spring break field trip, which was subsidized by the university. At the end of the week, some of us stayed over for a few days in London. We stayed in student housing, and I took this picture in the dorm room. I liked the color of the light through the orange curtains. It was the most color I saw that weekend, as it was very grey outside. I didn't see much of the city--didn't know where to begin--but I'd like to go back and look around...
