Somewhere between seeing yourself as others see you, and proving you exist - Polaroids offer a physical artifact of a moment in time. These subjects were too busy creating their moments to remember living them, but the picture reminds them it actually occurred. When the emulsion dries and the picture comes into view, these subjects share with us the moment where essence and existence unite, and they live up to Buddha's instruction "Cease becoming and begin to be."
