adventures in reflective surfaces
The apartment I lived in before this one was a dark cave of little natural light, and little space for strategically-placed lamps. The apartment I live in now is on the second floor of a corner building which faces southwest, and so now I am drunk on sunlight, addicted to houseplants, taking photos of beams and pools of sunlight blanching the old woodwork in this place, lighting up each room with liquid gold. I was taking a few photos of the bathroom, of all places, when I looked up, saw our slightly grungy showerhead, and saw my reflection.
